a dream of my own making

In the breath today was : please forgive me.

I gave a few moments to remembrance of relationships that I have personally fractured ...

People come and go throughout life. This is fact. That person who touches your soul, who makes you sing to the rooftops, and who is there for you through it all ... for me, there has been only one such person : and he is my best friend.

He has been with me for almost 6 of the very best years of my life, and I search for every path in the world to create my own way. I am interested in the concept that a person may create their own existence in the world : so interested, in fact, that i've taken it on … and am steadfastly creating for myself a dream of my own making. I know it to be true that i have become in my present, a dream manifest (and i've heard over and over and over that this is the place we must go in order to do this work). I've got a vision for how I think it should look, and at the moment, my scenario is matching my vision fairly closely. I am also absolutely open (and have intentionally surrendered) to the journey that has miraculously opened itself for the fulfillment of my dream … so, this is where I am at the start of this journey.

Yesterday I was breathing in the power of the natural world and breathing out peace, healing into the world of man. I welcome you to read about it in a post entitled 'safe in the storm.'

I want to know if I am a writer or an author … I write, a lot, and I enjoy reading it, which is, really, the fire that keeps me stoked . I think I like the freedom within being a writer . There is only responsibility to yourself, the writer, in the creation of it (whatever it is) … you're not beholden to an audience's whim, nor an attachment to a success oriented standard of living … caveat : becoming source in oneself in the realm of living well may involve a bit of flexing the 'normal' ideas of 'living well.'

success in the realm of 'author' brings all the glory : all the praise : and the necessity to be come in yourself part of the glory and praise.

The truth is : if the way forward includes 'author' (or even 'successful author') I don't think i'd spurn the opportunity to create my own rules around it, which is (also) my right … the treasure, I have learned, is faith. The word itself has been assigned to a realm I do not identify with, so I created my own rules around it too... faith for me is seeing life itself in action, and knowing that I am safely a part of it all; and that I have a part to play in it, and that it will be my choice (always) to play my part. I am reminded often to “keep your faith, child … keep your faith : and I do … gratefully.

The magnificent irony here is that, although I am truly aware that I have fractured (or lost, somehow) almost all of the relationships I have had in this realm, I have availed myself of the opportunity to become a more diligent seeker of truth : the discovery of who I truly am. To any/all that I (may) have harmed, I do ask for forgiveness. You may know that I have learned the lessons of our split, and that although we may never again meet, you are precious in my heart. Know, also, that I welcome you into my life, should you want to ...

Namaste. Happy trails.

safe in the storm

dear tom & rebecca :

thank you, thank you, thank you! what a lovely time i have had visiting here ... i loved spending time with you, my sweet sister, and hearing the stories of your beautiful family.

vaya con la diosa, mi familia!

there are 1000 kisses in this envelope for all y'all!

... and much much much love,
your cool chick sister

you see, i just spent an amazing 2 weeks in a place in which i was a teacher : i didn't fit with the folks, but i didn't let it bother me ... i did my do ... whatever that means. i wore what i wanted, ate what (and when) i wanted : slept for as long as i wanted, danced on the balcony with my sister, walked for miles along the surf, surfed the internet, hung out under an umbrella in sand chairs, ordered beach drinks, read my book, dipped my body in the crystal clear aqua-blue water, and absolutely kept my own counsel! ... exhilarating!!!

it was an amazing first week, spent with a woman i've missed for a very long time : my sweet, beautiful sister. i spent the second week with an equally beautiful woman : me.

i've also missed my life (and my guy,) and am excited to get back there too : not that the past 2 weeks haven't been my life, but that's the beauty of it : it's allll my life; that said, the past 2 have been an absolute miracle!

now, a hurricane!

...so i watched this storm develop and become stronger and stronger ... i was more in awe that i had been gifted such a wondrous display. i was grateful to be on the edge of the storm, and in no danger at all. i felt myself pulled to the balcony to better feel its power and strength. i was grateful for the opportunity to feel such a thing in my 2 week stay. i meditated in the storm on the lovely, beach facing 8th floor balcony, breathing in the storm : breathing out healing for the world.  i did my own combination of t'ai chi, qi gong, and my own connection with that which is : in tune with my heart, my purpose and my own contribution, as it comes.

grateful(!) to be on the outer edges of the storm : not in the eye.

the massive energy, the force of a great storm : the miracle of its power to be who/what it is : the force of nature that is our mother's child; as are we.

i realized, with aplomb, while in deep trance, that i was not the only person on the balconies : and so several folks got to see my meditation : and i realized i didn't care one bit . if they learned something, awesome! if they thought i'm a weirdo, awesome! (i firmly believe that 'normal' is no more or less than a setting on a washing machine) ... lord knows the world needs healing, and so do i, frequently - and i pray for myself and the rest of the world, and for our mother planet herself.

as i allow the thoughts of place to fade, i realize that i am naturally guiding my breath, offering praise with my body, breathing with my movements, feeling my body confident within its own breath, and i allow ...

feel the energy of the storm healing my body also, stretching and filling every nuance of my being, starting with my nose, which feels it first... right after my skin, hair, eyes, etc. the delightful, awesome, magnificent energy powerfully working its way through itself, working its way down my esophagus, and throughout my body, consciously.

i inhale deeply, and feel my lungs fill with this universal force, and with all the power now residing there, i gather the energy in me and breathe healing out into the world, and into the planet from whence it came, and then back into myself. i gather my breath and again : breathe in healing from the awesome power within a force of nature, breathe out peace into the world. breathe in power, breathe out healing. i am so grateful to be this person in this moment : just me, god and the storm, each of us in our own way manifesting our own very best  ... consciously inviting the miracle being summoned in this one piece of the whole that is my heart . i may also breathe out peace, kindness, love, goodwill and brotherhood, with the same massive energy now consciously flowing into my body, filling my senses with the essence of creation;

which may also be found in a sunrise, in a moonbeam, on a mountain, in a forest or on the ocean. i definitely find this energy in a storm ... all energies love their own best manifestations, including you and me ... in this now i find myself resting within gratitude : within peace within my self.

i feel this peace grow within me and settle into my mind and heart like a good friendship ... that i may access again and again and again.

this will come in handy as the next two weeks are going to be spent with our mother : a woman who sounded for all the world a few minutes ago on the phone like she was about to explode... i told my sister that my timing might be fortuitous ... we shall see...

anyway, i am grateful ... that i was on that balcony, in that moment, with that storm, with an intention (and opportunity) to breathe.

blessed beyond measure for the opportunity to do what i could in that moment to bring peace into the world : to bring healing, to bring us to a better version of ourselves, and, going forward, to do what  i  can to help stoke within humanity the desire to be better ... one of the tenets of the divine law of compensation, according to marianne williamson,* is that we should want what we want : i want us to learn/remember how great we are, and have the potential to be ... i was (also) grateful for the thought that i could (may) teach others that its okay to pray :

whenever and wherever it's best; and, i was happy that i could learn a lot about myself, by myself.

then the wind picked up ... and i came in and listened to the weather channel to let me know how strong the storm is ... and wrote this.

so, thank you, sister ... you're the best!

...and love to tom and the chirren...

namaste to all y'all .

tedious & brief

tedious & brief...
...a saying on a sundial somewhere, making the notion relevant to 'time.'

the extraordinary truth in this small thought is that its actual relevance is only about 'us.' a number of years ago i realized that 'time' is a man-made convention, probably designed so that clergy and employers could tell us when to be there; and so they would know when we were late. tedious and brief is a fairly good description of  our time here, and the words themselves are able to evoke a response (emotion?) in us (and only in us) ...as are words in general. squirrels, i realized, (may not) don't give a single thought to what day of the year it is : just where the nuts are buried.

within words are the emotions of reflection, hesitation, contradiction, insanity, inability, hope, greatness, and every other feeling we can have. within the ability of words are we able to feel wronged, and able to right wrongs. words incite.

...and within words may healing (also) be found.

in the beginning was the word : and it was ours to interpret.

within the swirl of so much that can (does) go wrong or right, there is only the moment when we wake up ... and gaze upon opportunity. ours to claim, ours alone to see. there is opportunity for opportunity. to know that the brass ring beckons, waiting only to be seized : but only for one who is willing, one who will give everything into the reach.

to imagine the tedious and brief moment within the span of living, to go to the mat every time it presents; with the knowing that there is balance in all things, and to reach inside and know that the only salvo is in the reach ... that we may do as much as we will do, by our own decree, by our own zeal, by our own fortitude to do. it is therefore ours to decree, and to act. our time here, tedious and brief, is for our own discovery : let us discover rightly, sanely, and with an eye toward gratitude! ...for breath, for life, for opportunity, for peace among ourselves, for a way forward that does not kill - each other and our home, and for blessings for all beings, including our mother earth.

warning : rant ahead : read on at your own risk.

frac'ing : short for fracturing, as in breaking... as the trees are the lungs of our earth mother, as the oceans, rivers and streams are her circulatory system, the oils and gases, her synovial fluids. as the polar caps are her air conditioner, the rain is her cleanser and drink of choice. as the sun is her heater, the moon her rest, and the stars her eyes, ...her bedrock is her bones.

she knows well how to rejuvenate using her own cycles for her health - creating life and nourishing herself with the decay of beings gone before. her own systems are not her problem.

humanity has for a period of time created a great game of buying and selling her to each other for gain of yet another of her own creations : gold. we alone place meaning in gold -- no other creature before us has had any use for it - it was and is just another mineral. our incessant desire for more and more and more has placed her care way down the list in our priorities.

i believe it all started purely enough - people need food and she was glad to give it - glad to be a good mother to us. people (and other creatures) also needed shelter, warmth, water, air, etc., and again, she was happy to share - she had no need to keep it all, and her way of being created opportunities for sharing herself with all of her creatures, including us. in the long ago, i believe she was probably even pleased that one of her creations pleased us so much. she perceived our love for her and was glad to return it. somewhere along the way, it seems, our gratitude for (dependence on) her gifts became entitlements, and those who became (by our way) entitled to pieces of her (vis a vis, her gold), were also entitled to do with their pieces what they pleased. this buy-and sell technology advanced and today we have rendered ourselves, by our own design and by our own desire for always more, completely dependent on destroying her for our own gain - seemingly without consequence, certainly without (much) conscience.

attempts are ongoing to shift our focus : toward something other than gold, but the base of our zealous ways with each other (and our ever expanding girth as a species) increases the need, and so we continue to create more and more of her into it, and thereby change her very patterns and landscape in our march into zeal.

the very interesting part is the only way we know how well we are doing is by seeing others of us suffer and/or ourselves prosper. we force ourselves to (not) see her suffer, as our system of balance (sheet) has no category for her pain ... only our system of 'more' has meaning. we have created our way wholly dependent on her continued assault, her continued acquiescence to our onslaught. we coerce, force, convince others of us to do what is needed so that the ones who proclaim themselves entitled to her bits can do (in our way of thinking) well, and in exchange trade their sweat, intelligence, souls for smaller bits of our well-doing. we then take the small bits received and exchange them for pieces of her created by the labor rendered by the very ones entitled, thereby feeling a bit entitled ourselves.

the truth is, i don't know how to live in a world that does not offer these great 'advances' we have come to expect, become dependent upon - conveniences really. we have placed our needs and created our desires at the very top of the order of things, and created order of importance in ourselves based upon our system of gold, a.k.a. ability, entitlement.

it seems an obvious question, but why do we need so much/crave always more? our perverse, self-absorbed, competitive ways continue the destruction of our mother planet up to and including the very breaking of her bones. why? for more gold? for more convenience? so the entitled can become even more entitled - and the less-entitled can feel a bit more entitled? and those who remain unentitled can continue to be ignored?

we have become, in our ultimate place at the very top of all order, highly prolific breeders, considering our ability to propagate an entitlement. i tell you, as we burn through mother's gifts (resources) to keep pace with our ever expanding species-specific girth, she does all she can to keep up. the argument is made for the continuation of our ways and our lives (at all cost), but isn't there worth in awareness of what we do? and worth greater still in showing respect and appreciation for her by our effort to curb our voluminous habit of wanton waste (and population)? what non-damaging, zero-waste industry could be created to recapture and reinvent garbage? how would we reward those who participate? further, how may we bring ourselves to the truth of our own culpability?

what would a world look like in which earth is viewed in our hearts, our technologies, and our way forward as the source of our ability to live - as important as our own lives, as crucial to our (and all other) species' survival as the water, air and food she (alone) provides? what if we honored the 'responsibility' side of 'dominion?' what if we took an honest look at our capability for reproduction and realized what a billion (or 7) of us requires from her? how would a return to a clear, thinking, mindful way around responsibility, and effort toward stewardship come about? such a revolutionary thought may only be brought on the wings of first breath. teach responsibility, responsibly. teach contribution by contributing. teach goodwill and kindness and caring and sharing and well being by being each of these things toward all, and toward your own self. every single one of us matters, to every single other one of us : let us act in ways of brotherhood, of peace.

we are capable should we create ourselves so : we are bequeathed the gods' own intelligence! our species alone is the answer to our own self-made conundrums ... when all of us are taught to respect, earth and each other - creating a clearing for thinking (manifesting) an end to pollution, an end to destroying our home, becoming a species cohesive with ourselves and the planet - when we create this a creed of ultimate worthiness and personal reward, wouldn't these qualities of care and respect then spill over into our collective psyche?

there are 3 principles in answering these critically important questions :

  • peace is its own answer.
  • do no harm.
  • love your neighbor.

there is only one earth . and we all belong to her (and to each other), no matter what we believe. let us now know the truth that we are (all) one, and let us now believe ourselves peaceful, because we (can!) choose to. let us give ourselves into the possibility of potential, and the potential of possibility ... and let us now create peace and goodwill toward all :

starting with ourselves. what may we each contribute ... none may save us but ourselves.

...and for heaven's sake, let us undo the harm we have caused : to earth, to each other, and to ourselves.

our (individual) (collective?) time here is tedious and brief : let us find purpose, and let us be better.

thank you for hearing me : thank you for allowing : thank you for starting where you are, using what you have and doing what you can.

take a deep breath : release.

repeat.

now,

freedom tastes of reality

If I told you what it takes
To reach the highest high
You'd laugh and say 'nothing's that simple'
But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door
And no one had the guts to leave the temple!

...from 'I'm Free' : the Who

what i know is that it is my choice to be free, or not. i am experiencing abundance (perspectively and otherwise); i dress like i want, eat what (and when) i want, listen to what i want, make my own schedule (and decisions) : and it involves a little of this and a little of that ...

and i like it that way just fine.

it feels like there is no empty hole (unfulfilled longing) in me . i still have dreams, don't worry : i just don't worry about them : creating them in my head and in my heart is the first step to creating them in my hands : and i have already seen them ... and know with a clarity and certainty that they long for me also : and my destination is the journey, which i am (gratefully) enjoying, because i decided to.

i am, in fact, feeling free :
tasting reality.

... of my own choosing.

gratefully.

the message? intend to, then allow. follow the star in front of you : then be. acknowledge the inevitable miracles ... with as much gratitude as you have bubbling up in you, only waiting for its own acknowledgement.

lose the judgment, lose the temper, lose the hate : none of it looks good on you, and none of it will help you one iota! also, give yourself permission to breathe, and free your mind from ache. this part involves intention : it's worth it.

let go of the ways of sloth : for heaven's sake (and for your own), do something useful : don't ignore your body. don't ignore your home ... don't ignore the planet. something good for another person (or for the earth) will work wonders! ...for both you and the other being ... there is twofold good happening now : exponentially increasing your odds for finding your self living a good life!

start where you are ...
right now.

the universe will meet you there.

that's it!

namaste, friend : fellow being.

do the best you can

...with what you have.

better will come : this is the promise.

it's also the rule, according to divinity. the part that is ours to do is to shift the objective.

what is our best? are we (actively) doing it?

also, the 'what you have' part needs focus (intention). dreaming is the space occupied by our future selves : living is the space now occupied. if all are not living their own best, none are. possibility : dream it : live it...

no. matter. what.

whatever we have imagined is what we have created in mind, and (by divine law) have created in our world. it is with this law in mind that we are able to design (and redesign at will) the whole world. mind is connection to source, and is the place existence goes for direction. heart is connection to mind and is the place we go for guidance. body carries out the work. by design, we are the producers, directors and actors in the end result, our lives.

it is ours alone to decide to recreate the focus, or not. we may, by our decree to do so, create the focus of our own existence into whatever we desire. should we grant ourselves the courage, we may bring to our selves (and to all others) love. possibility : peace : goodwill : caring : sharing : being : as one of the denizens of our mother earth.

let us look upon one another as fellow denizens, and create ourselves tolerant, kind, and even understanding.

yes. we are that powerful.

: should we create (allow) ourselves that powerful.

the thing we learn when we go looking for a way out of the mess (we've created) is that the way forward involves helping each other. we must look back to understand and heal division, and thus we may create the ability to learn the lessons and decrees (which we are usually loathe to do), and then (forward) think and live into a better way. it is necessary that the way forward is for the good of the all, as the only way any of us experiences 'good' is for all of us to. we are designed by the creator to help each other as well as ourselves : this is our mission here. the thing that creates this possible is to first see the possibility in mind... the shift involves looking forward to who we desire to be, and then create ourselves worthy and capable, which is to say able. we may create ourselves worthy and able if we will think ourselves worthy, abundant and happy ... which we may do if we are willing to give up fear (and its entourage). we are so afraid of ourselves, each other, our planet, and our soul's place in the cosmos that we limit living, favoring (creating) instead, a culture of surviving. we end up eating ourselves alive, horrified at who we have become, and (because we think ourselves so) powerless to do anything different.

if we don't write our own stories they have no choice but to write themselves (be written for us), without individual (our own) input. we have forgotten that there are only 7-8 billion of us : there is a whole universe out there, and it really is on our side : all we have to do is be aware of this simple awareness and apply it to all of us. whatever we choose to program (by only our thoughts and actions) into the universe : eternal source happily and without prejudice gives back, in kind. this is our special, one of a kind gift, directly from divinity. it is only ours, and as long as we breathe, we have no choice but that we participate : with the outcomes being what we say they are. our choice is to choose (dream, create, live) the outcome : or not.

when we intentionally look toward love (our gifts), we create our own ideas, and thus delve to create our own way. conversely, when we take action only on the ideas that others (employers, partners, children, parents, contemporaries, clergy, governments, etc.) have for our contributions (and our time), we begin to sense that we 'should be happy,' but feel as though we are aging in place, unable to conjure forward momentum, and ultimately either settle (have our story written for us) or cut and run (write our own), intentionally.

THINK!

CREATE!

BE!

i'm looking forward to it!

i'm looking forward to it...

is a statement we make all the time ... usually one we use in a way that is hopeful, or that holds a seemingly impossible connotation - or the possibility of a nice weekend. the question that seems to beg in this moment is, what energy is actually getting created with the statement?

remember, we are always creating (whether or not we are aware of it) : our thoughts are the most powerful force in creation. all that is, is first a thought. conscious thought (awareness), then, is the golden key to unlocking the secrets of conscious creation. to say we are looking forward to one thing or another issues the thought into the massive, boundless creative consciousness of the universe. back of the thought is : i am creating in my mind the thing upon which i cast my vision; thus 'looking forward,' in combination with 'i am,' is a powerful way toward manifesting personal vision. yes, it's that powerful.

forward looking statements create the space inside for committing (manifesting) in our very own now. by envisioning those things we look forward to, we are putting ourselves and the universe on notice that we have (consciously) begun the interior work of tuning in to a new version of 'now' for ourselves, our lives, and our world. to follow 'looking forward' with inspired action brings 'i am looking forward' into 'i am now' by the power of objective desire : which is the force by which the universal intelligence creates : by seeing the result and working backward to get there...

although it may seem like a small thing, when we make a statement (any statement) that begins with 'i am,' we are actually issuing a decree into the heavens of our own self-dom. ('i'm' counts too!) to say 'i am strong' creates in our brain (and in the universal intelligence, and in our own mind-body) the very power of creation itself that may overcome any perceived or real weakness we have experienced . to learn to call upon the healing of the divine intelligence, with the conviction of a healed person, brings healing. to call upon the universal abundance with the feeling of being abundant brings abundant living. to say or to call upon lack or anguish or sorrow or hatred or violence, in kind, brings those things as well.

abundance : i'm looking forward to it!
world peace : i'm looking forward to it!
unconditional love : i'm looking forward to it!
stress-less : i'm looking forward to it!
healing the earth : i'm looking forward to it!
manifesting desires : i'm looking forward to it!
great relationships : i'm looking forward to it!
extraordinary life : i'm looking forward to it!
fulfilling my purpose : i'm looking forward to it!
my best self, living my best life : i'm looking forward to it!
...
freedom : i'm looking forward to it!

this is a primer list for me, but all of the above exemplify the desire/vision i give to the direction of my own dreams ... and the life i have chosen to live here. very, very importantly, to state that i am 'looking forward' opens my mind and creates a space in me to envision my dreams, while living my very own best now (which is actually all any of us ever has). looking forward shows me what (the result of) my dream looks like, so that i may consciously create intention into it.

knowing what i am looking forward to gives me courage to consciously create my experience of now within joy and satisfaction : living into my own best within each statement (dream); and looking forward to each attribute creates space within me to see them materialized ... and also ability for even more of these miraculous thoughts, and therefore, things!

you may ask if i have achieved the above list, to which i answer : i am(!) closer (and more certain) with every single thought i consciously (choose to) think into it. i have done the work of dreaming my own best, and taking inspired action around surrender. i set intention, and therefore create a space inside for 'this or something better;' and live in the knowing of attracting my desired outcome ... and then persevere. having actively released my dream (and my fear) into the universal consciousness for fulfillment (and absolution) means there is only now being myself in each moment/now, within each 'i am' statement : consciously, actively, intentionally being who i say i am. i know(!) i am, and i am grateful. for me, there is no better way to spend my time than consciously creating my life as i will (desire) it to be! ...with the possible exception of sharing a view of possibility with you.

what i find in this exercise is that each of the 'i am' statements is absolutely self-fulfilling, and brings 'looking forward' into the realm of 'now' by creating my vision so : moment by moment.

it (really) all began for me with stumbling into conscious gratitude : i find myself frequently in gratitude for gratitude. it's a concept that can sometimes get lost in the myriad of challenges we face as a population ... it's also the beginning of creation of so many attributes within becoming who we say we are in life. gratitude opens in us the ability to see ourselves prosperous, happy, joyful, abundant, and mindful; no matter the set of circumstances we are facing. gratitude inherently has the power to transform/transmute negativity. to actively search for (and also find) beauty inside and outside ourselves creates possibility by allowing us to be (feel) uplifted, which is the language of the angels.

your list can be whatever you choose! the most important part of each forward looking statement is the intention behind it. let's look a bit closer at expression itself. the way we are taught by the sages through the ages to bring about life as we would have it be, is that we dream it (plant the seed, create it - first in mind, become very clear about what we want, thoughts become things, etc.), and then look inside ourselves and discover potential (possibility) and pathway (gifts) toward our own determination (passion) of our own best outcome (forward thinking list) (dream).

we may not, and probably won't, know all the in's and out's of getting 'there;' however, the first thing we must do is create a space inside ourselves (where heaven goes for its instructions on how to show up for us) for possibility, by creating the vision : and then (the hard part) leave the details to the universal intelligence. this in no way means that we sit back and wait for our good to drop into our lives (although that is a possibility), rather to begin to 'hear' the universe speaking to us by the messages sent to us, in a whole host of forms. as we 'hear' guidance, we then learn to take inspired action toward our own good, and for the good of the all.

we learn to discern opportunity and see ourselves moving forward within our own best vision and version. of course, life itself does happen, and at every single moment the nuance of change is happening around us. it is ours to create ourselves better within it, and to (choose to) find the golden nuggets of inspiration, beauty, gratitude and love inherent in each and every nuance.

so, to say 'i am looking forward to it' actually makes a statement that we are looking into a future we are (actually) creating(!) ... by beginning with the end in mind, starting from right where we are, right now. should we begin (choose) to consciously create, there is an unlimited and wholly available pool of infinite source we may draw on. we simply may not want too much (!) (think world peace, or planetary environmental stewardship) (really!)!

while there is so much enlightenment and peace and joy to be found within the ability we give ourselves for forward (which is actually a form of 'now'), it may not always show up as pleasant or happy or peaceful (although it may), but if we will consciously create ourselves open, accepting and grateful, there will always present a way forward (into the now of our choosing), thus creating momentum for greatness in perception of our individual walk-through here; and for satisfaction and experiences we ourselves create.

so, feel free to look forward to it, and consciously create your very own way into it, through consciously creating your very own vision of your  best self, living in your own best version of now ... dream, because you can ... and i can too. what beauty we may co-create!

the gift

gifts! who doesn't love them? when we are gifted we feel important, loved, and cared for and about. what's not to love about the possibility of treasure within the package of a lovingly given gift! although it seems as though not all of us understand exactly how we are supposed to accept (receive or develop) gifts, we are (nonetheless) constantly bequeathed (from first breath of life), and therefore honored ... if we choose to be.

we sometimes ask about the reason we have come here ... and the answer, actually, is that we agreed to! the soul of creation (from which our own bodies, minds are individually sparked) only desires its own next (evolved awareness), and our world has proven a remarkable laboratory for the physics of change.

the cosmos is ever evolving and expanding, and only asks (requires) us to as well. our bodies are vessels, and carry out the inexhaustible, insatiable requirement divine spirit has for awareness. we are given opportunity at every moment throughout our lives to create. the closer we allow ourselves the courage of who we are, divine love, the more confident we are in our place here, an individual expression of the cosmic energy of change. we (may) know(!), for example, that life is to be created, lived, enjoyed and connected, and that love is our common denominator. it is ours to choose to create, live, enjoy and connect, and to love.

belief and knowing are two different things : what we believe is a product of what has been taught to us, in one form or another : for example : religion, in all its forms. belief (actually) may have its provenance within, or become a product of knowing. knowing is that which is (inherently) known : the source creator's presence within one's heart of hearts : the seat of the collective soul : the seat of one's own spark of soul : the still small voice inside : the ability (willingness) to know our own best answers : and the (respect, acceptance and) honor we may in turn give to our indelible gifts, through giving and sharing with the world. the difference in belief and knowing is simply finding the attributes of the divine in us, regardless of what we have been taught. the attributes of good in us were given names in our education, but we knew them, as earth knows rain. beliefs will change throughout our time here, (which is a natural order), based on the changing world we live in : knowing is divine, and therefore, immutable. knowing is the acceptance of guidance, the march toward the light of love which exists inside us, which is the divine spark of life in each of us : the first and greatest gift of all ... love ... divinely gifted into all beings with first breath of life (opportunity) : a co-creator within it all : mother earth's indelible gift to our lives here.

when we are first born (hopefully we are fortunate enough to be not afraid), we are individually given a whole cadre of gifts; starting with breath of life. we are connected to source in a wholly dependent way. we have absolutely no conception of responsibility, or of fault, or of blame. we are pure because the world has not yet had its way with us, and therefore we are free to choose how our senses perceive all there is. opportunity is as perennial as the coming of flowers in spring, and we only know ourselves as sensory beings. the hope of our care, growth and change is given within each suckle of our mother's milk and of our father's loving touch; themselves gifts to us, as they may be allowed.

as is the way of it, we change and become more of who we are in the world with each passing day, imperceptibly growing, learning and accepting ... should we happen upon learning appreciation for all that is, we may expand appreciation. ...and as is well understood, what we bless, expands. the dichotomy, of course, is that whatever it is that we think about expands : blessings or curses. this is (again, also) ours to choose ...

as is (also) the way of it, life shows up : as it does. it is up to each one of us to allow it to be remarkable. no matter who we may be born, we are all gifted ability (knowing) for beauty, love, peace, kindness, compassion, and equanimity, along with first breath. as is the way of belief, we grow and learn where we have been dropped into the soup of humanity, and are (usually) taught to believe that life is hard : this is the accepted way among us, but not the way it must be, if we wish, if we will. life is hard because we have so chosen (believed) the path hard (or because our education of the way we are with each other has given 'hard' as the only lesson), also, the way of the world as we have believed (created) it is such that survival sometimes depends on making choices for our lives that may (do) not lead to ability within living well. we get caught up in 'surviving' as opposed to 'living,' and must become concerned (focused) on whether we are able to eat (or feed ourselves and our families). life spins out of balance. 'struggle' : whether we may shelter ourselves and those in our care from life's fury only adds to angst when held up against others; or our children are starving. it becomes then a stretch (or a seeming impossibility) to find (believe) good in the world. the way forward is certainly ours to create (transform) also. thinking peace, goodwill, brotherhood and love has the power to create more of the same, but in order to create these things, we must be willing to think on the good in us (in order to attract those things into our way forward); and be (our own gift of ability for) good in ourselves.

the 'gift' we are come here to accept
is the gift of discovering our gifts :

and our way forward within the gifting (forwarding) of our gifts, for the good of the all, including ourselves.

being 'good' in the self has nothing to do with status or with wealth. good in the self is a (nother) indelible gift : ours to share, to celebrate, to be : or not.

and so as we release fear and delve to relearn our part here, we may recreate our lives 'good' (first in mind). there (may) become moments of caring, and thus access to yet another gift of the divine intelligence that creates us good; we have it in us (by divine decree) to create ourselves kind, loving, creative beings, offering to all other beings (each a spark of the same gift) within the sphere of our home (as we know it, as we don't know it), ability to create good within themselves, within ourselves, and within our world.

this (release of fear) good we may choose is an acknowledgement, a sweetening of our angst, and further, commitment within us for reciprocity; each of us sharing our inspired gifts, each of us giving in order to share ... each receiving the blessing of each other's gifts. this is the way it is done above, so may it be below. the gods enjoy each other : and divine light is born ... the light of good within us also.
==============================================================
think good : do good : be good.
==============================================================
namaste(!) to all the relationships i'm trying to have in my time here : and wow, you do learn here about forgiveness : and as they grow and change and become more of their own way, may i also grow with them - and become more of who i am in the world ... and co-create within them a way forward that is from the heart of good; and therefore, find the good (gifts) (love) in me also.

blessed be the gifts : may i honor and fulfill their own chosen way in the world, for the benefit of creating my own best self, living my best life ; creating the dream i dared ; doing my sacred work : ability within purpose : action within ability : contribution for the good of the all ! ...lofty but doable... and well, why not?

i am that, i am.

i am also grateful : so, thank you. i accept with a lovely anticipation : to know that i am capable, and i am loved, because i love : and in so doing, honor the gift of life in me.

good begets good

for heaven's sake, be good!

break it down : for heaven's sake, be good! in order to bring heaven into the world we live in, bring good into the world we live in ... the good in us is divinity in us ... as we read, study, and hear over and over and over in all spiritual teachings and texts throughout the ages; throughout the history of mankind. the light of spirit in us implores us to be good : to and for each other. to be kind, caring, compassionate, loving and forgiving of each other, and to ourselves.

the truth is: we get what we give. this is a universal law, and it works exactly as it says it does. bringing good into the world is shining the light of good in the world, and it is ours to do. it's actually a great way to envision the way of things; and to wake up every day in the world.

it is absolutely positivity, but also so much more ... in the grand scheme of things, looking toward the good in every single situation and obstacle has the potential (if we allow) of dissolving the angst (fear) around it, and therefore allowing for opportunity to explore (think into it) a good outcome.

the opposite of good is fear.

think about it. we face life : we may see opportunity, or we may see tragedy (depending upon our very own perspective) : every time, in every piece of information we process, in every decision we make, and in every action we take. the belief we give to how our lives are affected really all boils down to choice. ours is to choose to have a great day (even within current circumstance), or to create our outlook miserable. existence becomes more about who becomes a victim : lash or be lashed. it seems that most of us rock along with catcher's mitts on both hands : doing what we must do to get through another day. life slowly becomes callous and hard, and we begin to think (create) the expectation of crisis as natural order.

we see atrocities being perpetrated upon each other, (including - surprise - the ways we entertain ourselves) and feel helpless to correct the harm being done in the world (it never seems to end well in real life). in reply, we arm and steel and tell ourselves that our only recourse is war, in all the forms there are. we choose our weapons and are inundated with who is wrong, who is being wronged, and how we will keep ourselves and our families safe. we have greatly expanded our perception of enemy, and this has become the way among us.

there simply must be a better way.

what if we consciously, confidently decided that each and every moment of each and every hour of each and every day was going to be met with a commitment we make to ourselves (and to each other) to do and to be good? that we will send good into the world, and that we are aware of the good being returned to us. bad news is bad news, but, it is always our choice to reinvent : to create, and to find counter-balance within good news also. don't worry : the storms pass - they always do.

what if we genuinely, with awareness, with intent, give ourselves the gift of a good perspective? ... and did our own little bit of good : wherever and whenever we are given opportunity to do so...

in the quest for justice we have believed we must fight : and so the battle lines were drawn. what if we reinvent the fight and create the call for compassion. there is so much angst among our race, and it is a very easy thing to get swallowed up by it all : but there is also, in every moment, the option of using our (very) big brains to create (think) a good outcome if we will. when we find ourselves faced with obstacles, challenges and everyday woes, we (also) have the option of looking at them in a way that will create hope within us for the best possible outcome - no matter what.

there is great comfort in the old adage : if god brings you to it, god will bring you through it ... regardless of your particular choice of word for the creative energy that is the creator, or source. if we choose, we may bring about healing : for ourselves, and for our world; but we must choose.

this is not (necessarily) about fooling ourselves. this is about bettering our world, one person's viewpoint at a time. there are millions of examples, but to bring perspective is a wholly personal choice ... no matter what.

acknowledgement is a master tool in the arsenal : to look upon the world with our heads hung and reinforce our angst to everyone we communicate with brings more and more angst, and therefore, more and more fear. we believe what we tell ourselves : to see the world in a way that allows ourselves and all others to see beauty will serve a number of purposes : it magically, automatically has the indelible power to transform any situation or occurrence to make us (ourselves) feel better, and when we feel better, we are able to see our way forward : how we talk with ourselves and with others tells our truth about how we see the world, and our perception of how it is all showing up. the very good news is that we ourselves are the master craftsmen of our view.

we are powerful : never let anyone tell you differently. we are at any moment able to change our minds, our hearts and our way of being in the world, with only a thought to do so. should we think the thoughts of good, set our intention to notice and forward good, and always be present to the good we are (constantly) given opportunity to share, we may, one smile at a time, change the world.

should we stand up to our fears and awaken every day and say (claim) :

'i live, share, and partake in an abundant, loving universe!'

'i am able to express goodwill to each and every being i meet!'

'i am a blessed, grateful soul!'

'i see and celebrate beauty all around me!'

'children are beautiful and important!'

'i am the change i wish to see in the world!'

our day begins with goodwill, hope and celebration. we were given free will : let us will ourselves good, and therefore create better, within ourselves and within our world.

we can, if we will.

namaste to you this day, you peace-loving, compassionate, good person, sweetheart, you ... here's a smile to get you started:
